Privacy
Short version: no accounts, no ads, nothing sold. Analytics only if you say yes.
Analytics, only if you allow it
We'd like to know which stories get read, so we can make better ones. If you tap Allow, we load Google Analytics, which sets cookies and tells us things like which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world from, and what kind of device. Advertising features and Google signals are switched off, so it isn't used to show you ads.
If you tap No thanks, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics never loads.
What stays on your device
A few things are kept in your browser's storage so the site works the way you left it. They never leave your device and we can't see them:
- your saved stories
- light or dark mode
- which sides of a story you've seen, and your answer to "Your call"
- your analytics choice
Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it.
